Cellist Elena Ariza is rapidly establishing herself as one of today’s most creative and community-driven cellists. An avid chamber musician, she has performed alongside luminaries such as Itzhak Perlman, Steve Tenenbom, Vivian Weilerstein, members of the Brentano and Cassatt string quartets, and attended festivals including Marlboro Music Festival, Ravinia Steans Institute, and the Perlman Music Program. She has had the privilege of performing for esteemed musicians such as Colin Carr, David Finckel, Clive Greensmith, Frans Helmerson, Gary Hoffman, Paul Katz, Ralph Kirshbaum, Philippe Muller, and Marcy Rosen. She has been featured on Yo-Yo Ma’s Music Art Life project and on NPR’s From the Top.
Making her Carnegie Hall debut at the age of 14, Elena has since performed on prestigious stages worldwide, including the Berliner Philharmonie Grand Hall, Davies Symphony Hall, the Royal Concertgebouw, Seiji Ozawa Hall, and Smetana Hall in Prague. Invited to the 2024 Naumburg International Cello Competition, Elena won 1st prize at the 2025 William C. Byrd Young Artist Competition, the 2022 Gustav Mahler Prize Cello Competition, the 2022 Philharmonic Society of Arlington Young Artist Competition, and was a finalist in both the 2021and 2019 Juilliard Concert Competition.
A fierce advocate for the music of today, Elena has worked with and showcased compositions by Pulitzer Prizewinner Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, and premiered works by Anne Qian Wang and Hiroya Miura. Passionate about community activism, she has organized fundraiser concerts for the 2011 Japanese tsunami, the 2021 Haitian earthquake, and for those affected in Ukraine. She has also partnered with Project: Music Heals Us to perform for and teach music in jail facilities in Santa Clara, Santa Clarita, Sonoma County, and on Riker’s Island.
Based in New York City, Elena is the 2025-27 season cellist for Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect program, a C.V. Starr Doctoral Fellow at the Juilliard School, and Teaching Assistant for Astrid Schween. She previously received her Artist Diploma at Juilliard and her Bachelor of Arts at Columbia University majoring in computer scienc, as part of the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange Program. Her teachers and mentors include Richard Aaron, Joel Krosnic, Ronald Leonard, Sieun Lin, Astrid Schween, and Eric Sung.
Lucas Amory is a versatile soloist and chamber musician. He holds a Master’s degree from the Juilliard School in Piano Performance and a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard College in Music and German, where he was also awarded the Robert D. Levin and David McCord Prizes for his musical achievements. He counts Julian Martin, Hae-Sun Paik, and Shai Wosner among his most important mentors.
Lucas is the first prize winner of the PianoArts 2024 North American Competition in Milwaukee and 2022 James Yannatos Harvard Concerto Competition. In 2026 he was featured as a resident artist at L’Atelier Musical in New Baltimore, NY, where he recorded and performed the complete Debussy Etudes in collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Patrick Lo Re. Other engagements in this timeframe include the Dame Myra Hess Recital series in Chicago, the Prelude Recital to the PianoArts 2026 Competition, as well as chamber music residencies at Marlboro, Yellowbarn, and Lehigh Valley Chamber Music. Among other chamber music festivals, he has attended the Ravinia Steans Music Institute, Prussia Cove, Norfolk, Four Seasons, and Taos, and is the pianist in the Marlboro Festival Ross Garon Trio Çava and 2024-5 Juilliard Honors ensemble Trio PUMA. He is one half of the Rehmus Duo with his violinist sister Leah, and together they’ve toured and performed in Milwaukee, New York, and Philadelphia.
As a performer of contemporary music, he has collaborated with many esteemed artistsand composers including Matt Aucoin and the American Modern Opera Company, BruceAdolphe, Nico Muhly, and Claire Chase, and collaborated with clarinetist Anoush Takuhi Pogossian on the interdisciplinary Armenian music project Komitas and Friends involving five commissions and premieres from student composers at Juilliard, which is set for a new installment in 2026-2027.
An artist devoted to healing, connection, and revelation through music-making, violinist Yebin Yoo is emerging as one of the most compelling young voices in classical music today. Her first international breakthrough came at the age of sixteen as the youngest-ever winner of the Gisborne International Music Competition. By eighteen, she had swept all major national competitions in Australia, including the Australian Concerto and Vocal Competition and the National Youth Concerto Competition. Most recently, she was named winner of the New England Conservatory Concerto Competition, performing the Hindemith Violin Concerto with the NEC Philharmonia under the baton of Shiyeon Sung.
As a soloist, Yebin has appeared with the Korean Symphony S.O.N.G., New England Conservatory Philharmonia, South Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Preston Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Youth Symphony, and Melbourne Youth Orchestra, performing in venues including Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium, Jordan Hall, Japan’s Oji Hall, South Korea’s Lotte Concert Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre, and Ravinia Festival’s Bennett Gordon Hall. A devoted chamber musician, Yebin has been invited to the Marlboro Music Festival for the 2024–2026 seasons, with selection for Marlboro On Tour in 2027. Her recent chamber music engagements include the Copland House Ensemble, Mystic Chamber Series, Chameleon Arts Ensemble, as well as appearances with A Far Cry Ensemble, Delirium Musicum. She has also performed at the Ravinia Steans Music Institute, ICEP Japan Tour with Midori, Heifetz on Tour, Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival, and Kronberg Academy Masterclasses. Yebin is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Musical Arts at the CUNY Graduate Center under Mark Steinberg, and completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the New England Conservatory under the guidance of Miriam Fried.
