It's been said that Kimberly Hawkey, "conjures vistas of the heart for an age in need of vintage, time-tested soul sustenance.” We couldn't agree more, and always look forward to her concerts with Downtown Music as special events. Ms. Hawkey has won the Johnny Mercer award and is a veteran of Caramoor and Birdland.

Kimberly is a vocalist, mentor, and producer from New York. She has performed with jazz groups, big bands, and symphony orchestras across the nation as a multigenre performer specializing in traditional American song.
After crowdfunding her debut album in 2017, Kimberly released and co- produced two albums with The Swingaroos, and two more with songwriting team Morris & Rivers (We the Nighthawks & A New Noel - featuring 25+ musicians and available as of 12/1/21).
As an educator, Kimberly has developed her own intuitive and integrative approach to the study of the voice. Her Muse Mentoring program fosters a community of singers and students of all ages and levels.
