Based around the Seven Sonnets of Michelangelo by Benjamin Britten, this program explores the poetic potency of art song literature. Vocalist Loren Greer has appeared with the Baltimore Lyric Opera, Baltimore Concert Opera, Concert Artists of Baltimore, the Baltimore Symphony, the Albany Symphony, and The Orchestra Now. Recently, Loren was involved in the development of several new works including a devised pastiche-opera, Rest in Pieces, and a new opera by Kate Soper, The Romance of the Rose. Loren is joined by pianist Bethany Pietroniro who has appeared in concert at Alice Tully Hall, and the Morgan Library.
